1. Contents
	readme.txt		- the readme file for VMware driver installation
	esxupdatecd.zip		- driver CD iso image for system installation
	VMware3.5_RPM.zip	- driver rpm package for exist system installation


2. Preparation
	2.1	The Areca ARC11XX/ARC12XX/ARC13XX/ARC16XX SATA/SAS RAID controllers
		are all applicable to VMware ESX 3.5.
	2.2	Your platform must be listed in VMware ESX Server 3.5 HCL. 
		Please refer to http://www.vmware.com/.
	2.3	If it is first installation, please burn the driver image file to a CD
	2.4	If you have system already, please copy the rpm package to your system.


3. Installation

**	First installation			**
****************************************************************************
	3.1	Install your Areca RAID controller on the platform first.
	3.2	Place this arcmsr driver CD in the CD drive of the your platform.
	3.3	Boot your platform.
	3.4	When prompted for an upgrade or installation method,
		press Enter for graphical mode.
	3.5	Specify your language.
	3.6	Select a keyboard type.
	3.7	When prompt for "Update CD successfully loaded, please insert the VMware 
		ESX Server 3.5 CD and then press Continue"
	3.8	Continue with ESX Server installation. For detailed instructions, 
		please refer to VMware ESX Server 3.5 Installation guide.

**	Installing raid driver on an Existing System	**
****************************************************************************
	Do ¡§ rpm ¡Vivh VMware-esx-drivers-scsi-arcmsr-1.20.0X.15.vmk.80227-00000.i386¡¨ 
	to install the driver package into your system.
